Mark A. Schneider
President

Mark Schneider joined the Fouga community in 1995. He has already logged over 5000 hours of maintenance and engine tear downs and inspections. Additionally Mr. Schneider has rebuilt one of the finest Fougas currently flying in the United States which has won several awards at Sun n' Fun.  Mr. Schneider handles all maintenance and parts related inquiries.

  Professionally, Mr. Schneider started his career practicing as an Engineer and architect and later became a trial attorney specializing in aviation and construction law. Besides holding a commercial pilots certificate with single, seaplane, multi-engine instrument ratings, Mr. Schneider also holds an A&P License and IA inspector authorization certificate. He currently has over 4000 flying hours. Further, Mr. Schneider was also one of the first in the United States to disassemble and perform a hot section inspection and repair on both the Marbore II and Marbore VI engines


Julio A. Cortez
Chief of Maintenance

Julio A. Cortez is a retired Sergeant from the El Salvadorian Air Force where he served as a Turbine Engine Specialist. Mr. Cortez was a 1st Class mechanic in the military with certified training on Marbore II, Marbore VI, NeNe 105A, J85, T53, PT6A and numerous other turbine engines. Mr. Cortez also holds a CAA Class A Mechanic's certification.

Mr. Cortez has worked for The Fouga Specialists, Inc. since 1997. He has logged over 12,000 hours of maintenance on the Fouga and specializes in both airframe and engine repairs.

 


Emilio Jayma
Chief of Paint Maintenance

Emilio Jayma joined TFSI in 2002.  Emilio brings much needed enthusiasm as the Chief of maintaining the Fouga finishes.  No wax job is too tough for him.  His marching song is: "Wax on....Wax off". Emilio's favorite wax is McGuire's Quick Wax.  TFSI is excited about adding Emilio to our cracker-jack team of Fouga enthusiasts....just as long as he doesn't wash the airplane with Sponge Bob.   Keep up the good work!
